My journey to become a collegiate and professional athlete was difficult and not the most efficient, as a support system like this platform did not exist. The idea of playing at the collegiate level was something I couldn’t stop thinking about daily. There was no plan to follow, no one to give guidance or direction on rules and timelines. The overwhelming confusion made what should have been an overwhelmingly exciting time as a junior and senior in high school, one of the most stressful times of my life. I didn’t have the ability to discern what was best for me academically, socially and athletically at the right program where I could be successful. Knowledge of next level requirements weren’t discussed and I went into college with a wake-up call of expectations. While I figured it out on my own, it would have been much easier with a program like this to help me be optimally prepared. Additionally, as as high performance athlete, I had the stressors of looking a certain way and struggling with body image issues that so many young athletes, both men and women, struggle with today. I didn’t learn until later in life how to fuel my body efficiently to maximize my performance. For these reasons above and many more, I have created Athlete Achievement Academy.
I have successfully taught mindset, nutrition and strength lessons to Division 1 to NAIA Athletes and clients the past 24 years. Everything that has happened in my life has brought me to this moment where I can share my knowledge and passion so others can achieve competitive greatness. Mindset is critical to have ultimate success in sport and in life. It is the most overlooked aspect that young athletes simply don’t work on. When a young person can capitalize on opportunities to grow their mental strength their ability to be successful in sport and in life will be monumentally increased! What an amazing thing this can be when applied! I have learned actual mindset strategies as a Professional Athlete that I will teach your athlete.
A CHAMPION is not just a person that performs a skill well. A CHAMPION is a person that performs on and off the field with the same precision. They prepare. They learn. They grow. They learn things they haven’t. They get uncomfortable. They see progress. They commit. They change. I empower young athletes to achieve more.
Nutrition is the key component to building muscle, losing fat, and growing a healthy body. As an athlete, it is crucial for the individual to understand how to fuel the body for practices, competition, daily living, post practice/competition, building lean muscle, losing and gaining weight. These are life skills that when learned early in life, will help the individual have a healthy relationship with food and know how and why we eat certain foods.
Recruiting can be a very stressful time for families if they are not guided properly. She will educate families during this process and give her personal attention to the details. Each player is assessed extensively regarding nutritional habits, mindset and where they are in the recruiting process. A personalized plan is created for each individual that is unique to them and will enable this process to be more enjoyable and take the stress out of this very exciting time in the athlete’s life.
